Ibycus (6th century BCE) was an ancient Greek lyric poet from Rhegium, noted for his passionate and vivid Poetry. Renowned for his epigrams and Love lyrics, Ibycus was associated with the literary Tradition of the Greek colonies in southern Italy. His works, characterized by their emotional intensity, were highly regarded in Antiquity, earning him a Place among the canonical Nine Lyric Poets.
